This plate was made by Vernon Kilns, who operated from 1931 to 1958 for Bartlett Hardware in Las Vegas and Reno. It is a heavy, deep plate with transferware depicting the Silver Stae. It has the Pipers Opera House and St Marys in Virginia City, the Kennecott Copper Pit in Ruth, Lake Tahoe, Hoover Dam and Las Vegas, the Last Frontier which shows the Overland Hotel and the Sal Sacev which neither I believe exist any more. It is quite the collector plate! It has gold miners with their mules and some foilage around the edge.
The back says in part- "Nevada- the very name spells romance. Silver and gold from its mines swelled its frontier settlements.....this is the land of the new pioneer. It's liveral laws, scenic wonders, friendly people....
It is 10.75" in diameter and has a bowl shape, isn't quite a flat plate so the top extends 1" up from the table. It has some wear around the edges but no cracks, chips, knicks or crazing.
