Catalina Island Travel Brochures 1929 California

$64.00

Two very rare Catalina Island Travel Brochures from 1929 and 1930. Catalina off the coast of Los Angeles was known as the "pleasure island" and the "magic isle" and a place where the wealthier went. In 1919 William Wrigley (yes, of Wrigley gum) purchased the isle where he also built a house. Highly collectible ephemera. Look it up.

One is printed in brown on cream paper and talks about the history, the Isthmus, fishing, e hotels, glass bottom boat and the Country Club. It also has a really cute map. Folded it is 9 X 4", it unfolds to 31". It is in excellent vintage condition.

The second one is the 1929 and is printed in blue, orange and coral on cream and lists the ticket offices, the Catalina Steam Ship service, talks about the Catalina Bird Park, famous glass bottom boat, the country club the schools, and more. It too has a lovely map with black and white photos of sights around the island. It is the same size as the other. It is in very good vintage condition, just a slight bit of wear on the edges of the folds.

Frequently Asked Questions

When will I receive my refund for a damaged product.

I will happily refund for anything damaged during shipping. However, I must receive pictures of the damage, the box and the wrapping. I will refund you as soon as I receive this in order to file a claim with USPS or Shipsurance.

How much is a custom mermaid?

It depends on the size and the work involved. Custom mermaids start at $50.

I saw an item like this on EBay for less. Can you match the price?

No.

Can you hold an item until I get paid?

No. I have done this before, taken the item out of inventory and then the person never bought. This causes me to have to pay to re-list the item and miss out on other potential sales. Please do not ask me to do this.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, I do!
