Catalina Island/Travel/Brochures/1929/1930/California

Shipping to United States: Free

Two very rare Catalina Island Travel Brochures from 1929 and 1930. Catalina off the coast of Los Angeles was known as the "pleasure island" and the "magic isle" and a place where the wealthier went. In 1919 William Wrigley (yes, of Wrigley gum) purchased the isle where he also built a house.

One is printed in brown on cream paper and talks about the history, the Isthmus, fishing, e hotels, glass bottom boat and the Country Club. It also has a really cute map. Folded it is 9 X 4", it unfolds to 31". It is in excellent vintage condition.

The second one is the 1929 and is printed in blue, orange and coral on cream and lists the ticket offices, the Catalina Steam Ship service, talks about the Catalina Bird Park, famous glass bottom boat, the country club the schools, and more. It too has a lovely map with black and white photos of sights around the island. It is the same size as the other. It is in very good vintage condition, just a slight bit of wear on the edges of the folds.

I have temporarily lowered the price.

If for some reason, I am unable to ship with in 3 business days, I will let you know so you can decide if it can wait, however, I strive never to do that. Shipping from United States

I use standard shipping costs for different size items. In reality it may be more to ship or may be a little less. What you see is what you get & I believe my prices reflect that and are worth it. Whatever shipping cost is on the item is what you pay. With the cost of different boxes etc. it just makes sense to use a flat fee for certain items. I don't add the cost of mailing products to the item, I depend on my shipping costs to include that. I have had instances when my international shipping has been way off, and if that is the case, I do refund that part of the shipping cost. I insure EVERYTHING. That adds to the cost of shipping .
