Sorry, this item has sold.

In the 1920s, San Francisco Theater Operater, S. Levin built a new theater on Ocean and Faxon called "The Balboa" in Westwood Park. In 1926, he opened another theater 5 miles away and called it the "New Balboa" which confused people so he changed it to "The Westwood". It closed in 1932 and has been turned into a Walgreens.

This 5 1/8" ashtray was made for the Westwood Theater. It was made in Japan and on the back says "The Collectors Series Porcelain Handcrafted for Westwood of San Francisco Japan"
It is a pearl and yellow irridescent glaze with gilding. The piece is worn in the center and on the edges of the cigarette holders. In some places, the irridescence is still there but that top shiny clear glaze has worn. For it's age (prior to 1932) it is in good vintage condition.

Frequently Asked Questions

When will I receive my refund for a damaged product.

I will happily refund for anything damaged during shipping. However, I must receive pictures of the damage, the box and the wrapping. I will refund you as soon as I receive this in order to file a claim with USPS or Shipsurance.

How much is a custom mermaid?

It depends on the size and the work involved. Custom mermaids start at $50.

I saw an item like this on EBay for less. Can you match the price?

No.

Can you hold an item until I get paid?

No. I have done this before, taken the item out of inventory and then the person never bought. This causes me to have to pay to re-list the item and miss out on other potential sales. Please do not ask me to do this.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, I do!
