1923 White House Cookbook: Comprehensive Cyclopedia of Information for the Home
$65.00
This giant cookbook from 1923 is so cool! It has so much information in it. It is as it says in the front "A Comprehensive Cyclopedia of Information for the Home". It was written by Hugo Zieman and Mrs. FL Gillette, Stewards of the White House. It features First Lady Grace Coolidge in the front but other first ladies pictures are throughout. Do you know how to toughen glassware? How to feed 1,000 people? How to properly lay a victorian table? How about how to care for someone with cholera? Do you know what slippery elm bark is for? How to preserve quince? Make rice waffles? It goes on and on. The book is 9.75 x 7.25 x x 2 and 609 pages. They are quite yellowed but it is to be expected. They are nice and clean though. The cover is linen on cardboard and it is discolored and has spots on it. It has been well used in the kitchen. but the binding and spine are in really good shape. It was last copywritten in 1915. How much is a custom mermaid?
It depends on the size and the work involved. Custom mermaids start at $50.
I saw an item like this on EBay for less. Can you match the price?
No.
Can you hold an item until I get paid?
No. I have done this before, taken the item out of inventory and then the person never bought. This causes me to have to pay to re-list the item and miss out on other potential sales. Please do not ask me to do this.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, I do!
