Here are 2 FDI's, (First Day of Issue) envelopes put out by the post office. The first one commemorates the Girl Scout's 50th Anniversary and is postmarked July 24, 1962 in Burlington Vermont. Although I believe the actual anniversary date is March 12. It was not issued though untel 7/24/62. It is in very good condition, slightly yellowed, kept in a plastic sleeve. The second is slightly more yellowed, also in a plastic sleeve and is commemorating Clara Barton the "Angel of the Battlefield" and founder of the Red Cross. It is post marked Sept. 2, 1940 from Oxford Mass. These are collected for their historical significance and the uniqueness.
