John Boyle O'Reilly was an Irish Poet (1844-1890) who joined the Irish Republic Brotherhood and went to prison for it. He escaped with help from a priest, Father Patrick McCabe and wound up in America. He became an editor for The Pilot in Boston.
This book is 7.5 X 5.25" and 338 pages. It has yellowed but the pages are not brittle. The back spine has lifted a little at the top but all pages are secure. It is in really great condition given the fact it is 126 years old.
