This is a BIG book! It has 604 pages and is 6.25 X 6 X 2.25". It was published in 1927 by Doubleday, Page and Company. The texts were selected and edited by Robert Shafer, professer of Literature and Fellow of the Graduate School, University of Cincinnati.

It covers things from Ben Franklins "The Way to Wealth" to Washington Irvings "The Sketchbook" to Edgar Allen Poes entire writings, Walt Whitman, Oliver Wendall Holmes, Mark Twain, Henry James and many, many more.

This book is in fairly good vintage condition. the outside of the book, the pages edges are dirty, the cover has some wear, some stains, some discoloration. The spine is in good shape, no loose papers. I didn't look at every page but there doesn't seem to be any tears or rips.

IMPORTANT! This book game from an estate sale and the home reeked of stale tobacco. In addition, this book smells old. If you are highly sensitive, do not buy this book. Putting in a plastic bag with some dry baking soda, may help it a lot.

When will I receive my refund for a damaged product.

I will happily refund for anything damaged during shipping. However, I must receive pictures of the damage, the box and the wrapping. I will refund you as soon as I receive this in order to file a claim with USPS or Shipsurance.

I saw an item like this on EBay for less. Can you match the price?

No.

Can you hold an item until I get paid?

No. I have done this before, taken the item out of inventory and then the person never bought. This causes me to have to pay to re-list the item and miss out on other potential sales. Please do not ask me to do this.
