Here are 6 postcards of Tom Mix from the 20s and 30s. He was the first western movie star, matinee idol and he and Tony the Wonderhorse were loved by kids everywhere. He made 291 movies between 1909 and 1935, 7 of them silent. Before that he was a Marshall in Dewey OK and after his film career he was in Wild West Shows and was great friends with Wyatt Earp.
The first card is a photo of him whittling? This postcard has been used, has a 1929 postmark for Brussels Belgium and is written in French. The second is him with his hat off. The third is a slightly oxidized head shot. The 4th is him and a female costar, unnamed, of them in "The Arizona Wildcat". It has a name written on the back. Next is he and another female co star from the "Great K & A Railroad Robbery" with a coupon on the back to get into an exhibit and the last is a photo on a postcard with no info on it.
