Here is an etching It is 11.5 x 8". The picture is 8.5 x 5". It is a picture is by A. O. Wergeland. It features a viking boat in high seas. It has Photogravure Hanfstaengl on the bottom and the picture is 7 5/8 x 5". In very good antique condition. A photogravure is a process of printing that produces velvety dark tones and was popular in late 18th and early 19th century. They made by making a photographic image from an art piece, and then etching it onto copper plates with acid and then inking them and pressing them to paper. This came from a book of them which someone took apart, probably to frame.
