This is a 1947 Cookbook published for the San Francisco Examiner by Consolidated Book Publishers.= in 1955, copyrighted in 1947. It features favorite recipes from around the US and has more than 200 photographic illustrations. It has 752 pages and is 8.25 x 5.5". It has finger marks indented for each chapter. The paper book cover is pretty torn up but the book itself is in good shape. I considered throwing out the book jacket but will let the buyer decide. It is hardback with a teal linen cover. Some interesting recipes out of the hundreds are Barnstable Clam Pie, Maple Sugar Pie, Chicken Terrapin, Crackling Bread, Orange Julep, Speck Und Bona, Morovian Hickory Nut Cake, Napoleons, Carrot Pudding, Daffodil Cake, Welsh Rarebit, Red Guacamole, Jerky Stew.
