And here is adorable Annabelle in her school dress, carrying her knapsack on her back! Made by Wade Pottery, England.
In the 1980s, NatWest Bank in the UK was looking to get young people to save and came up with a family of pigs. The first was Baby Woody who you got for free with a 5 pound deposit. After 6 months if you had 25 pounds, you got Annabel and with 50 you got Maxwell and so forth. It ended in 1988 and 5 million pigs were produced. In the 90's they did it again and came up with Cousin Westley. Sir Nathaniel Westminster was the most collectible because fewer were given and fewer produced. In 2011, they made Lady Margaret.
Annabelle is 6.5" tall and her base is 3.75 x 3.25". They are in perfect condition, no chips, nicks, cracks or crazing. All have their NatWest plug on the bottom.
