Here is the brother to a female bust I have. This is marked "Houdon" on the back but here's why I know it isn't a Houdon. Jean Antoine Houdon (1741-1828) was a very famous marble sculptor. His mark was more refined and professional than this one. He also didn't work in alabaster. Many students however work with alabaster because it is easier to carve and would try to replicate the masters as is the case with this one. Because it is alabaster and very finely done, it is still valuable and an awesome piece of more affordable sculpted busts. It sits on a base of black marble. It is in awesome shape - no chips, cracks or nicks. I also know that this was purchased in Europe.

No.
No. I have done this before, taken the item out of inventory and then the person never bought. This causes me to have to pay to re-list the item and miss out on other potential sales. Please do not ask me to do this.
